Do you guys remember when I shared my bonus room makeover a few months back? It was one of my favorite makeovers ever! It’s amazing how much this room changed by just adding some white paint and lighter furniture. Today, I am so excited to share with you another area in this room that took on a big change. If you guys have been around for a while, then you know I love yard sales. It just feels good to give something a new life and and save a ton of money in the process. I found a small TV stand at a sale for around $15 and 2 end towers at another sale for $25 and decided they would all look good together. Although they looked totally different, I knew with a little paint and TLC, they could look like one beautiful piece. So, before I share with you my entertainment center makeover, let me show you how it looked when I bought them

Entertainment Center Makeover Reveal
Here it is all painted and pretty! So much better, right? I love that it looks like it was all made to go together. To complete this makeover, I used Annie Sloan Old White with a dark wax to antique the edges. I also decided the original knobs were too rustic, so I spray painted the hinges gold and added some gold pulls from Hobby Lobby.
Another addition we did to this space was to add a focal point wall behind the entertainment center. We decided to do a planked wall which looks like shiplap but a fraction of the price. You can see the full tutorial HERE.
The last touch was to add some grey wicker baskets to hold my kid’s games, controllers, and systems to give it a cleaner and more organized look.
I finished it off with some pretty decor and greenery. I still can’t get over that this is the same piece of mismatched furniture that I started off with. It looks like it was made for this room and the total price was only around $60.
It feels so good to finally have this room complete. We are loving this room so much and the planked focal point wall was just the cherry on top. By finding this entertainment center at a yard sale, I was able to save hundreds of dollars which is such a big deal especially when you are doing a full room makeover. This project was so satisfying and I hope you guys enjoyed seeing the process of changing some ugly mismatched furniture into a pretty entertainment center.
