Want to know what my favorite part of my DIY console table is? It’s for sure all the crates so I can display all of my favorite things! Today, I’m going to be sharing my simple console table styling tips and what I love to use as my staples. I’ll also be sharing my new vintage inspired runner from Boutique Rugs. I’m loving the combination of this rug with all of my wood tones and fresh greens, so let’s get started. Can’t wait to share with you this fun refresh!
Console Table Styling Tips
So, what do you style a console table with? Of course the ideas are endless, but I like to use 3 of my favorite staples and mix and match them with other goodies. Plants, books, and pillows are the items you will always find on my console tables. I usually use my fresh or faux greens as my centerpiece. On this table, I paired it with this pretty ceramic bowl and layered it in a wicker trey for texture.
Next was to add my second favorite styling item…books! Beside my plant, I added a couple of my favorite decorating books and topped it off with some chunky beads. This is such a simple vignette, but I love how it looks all paired together.
Last but not least is pillows. Pillows are always a fun way to add color and texture to a console table. Pillows would be a fun addition to the bottom of your console table in a basket, crate, or just sitting on the floor. I love how these pillows from World Market look propped on the bottom shelf to anchor all of my decor.
Vintage Inspired Runner
I don’t know about you but my mind is already thinking about cooler weather and moody colors. I found the prettiest vintage inspired rug from Boutique Rugs and knew this was my fall vibe. I love the vintage feel and dark colors. This rug is called Leiter Area Rug and the colors in it are gray/charcoal/black/white. Since my home is very neutral, I love how it looks paired with this darker rug!
Well sweet friends, I hope you enjoyed my simple console table styling tips. It was a simple refresh, but I’m loving the new look. The new dark runner was another fun addition to this refresh. I especially love how it’s going to help me transition my summer decor into fall. Don’t forget to check out Boutique Rugs for pretty options for your refresh too!
