Hello friends and happy New Year!! Since I had Covid over Christmas, I was a little late getting my Christmas decor put away, but I’m happy to say it’s finally up and my house is back to normal. The new year is the perfect opportunity to start fresh, clean up, and add some simple changes to your home. Today, I am going to share with you some small changes that we added to my daughter’s room. I can’t wait to show you her new girl’s pink rug plus give you an updated tour of her room. I hope you enjoy seeing the small changes we made in here for the new year!!
Pink Rug Details
This pretty girl’s pink rug was a fun addition to her room and added a playful pattern to this space. It’s from Boutique Rugs and it’s called the Maligaya Area Rug. I love it because of the variations of colors. It has lots of pinks, teals, blues, and yellows in it. It also has a vintage inspired look to it so the pattern is faded in some areas. I was a little worried it would clash with her wallpaper, but it ended up working nicely with it.
We layered a faux fur rug on top of it to create some texture and coziness. I am just so happy with the new look! This rug would not only look great in a girl’s room, but also in an office or playroom. Overall, I highly recommend this rug!!
Hanging Chair Details
For my daughter’s birthday last year, she got this fun rattan hanging chair, and it fit perfectly in front of her window. She loves to sit and read or do homework in it. The pink ottoman is from At Home and it’s perfect to prop her feet up when she is hanging out. I kinda wish I had one in my room. It’s the best chair ever!!
Desk and Chair Details
For Christmas this year, she got this cute white and gold desk, and I love how it fit this little space perfectly. She has been wanting a place to do her homework, so she is loving having a more grown up space to work.
The cute pink chair is from HomeGoods, and I love how the back has a scalloped design to match the flowers in her wallpaper. The last simple addition to her room was this cute lamp from the new Studio McGee Threshold spring line. I am obsessed with the rattan shade and just how cute it looks on her desk.
Small changes make a big difference! This rug, along with a new desk and chair, make her room feel more grown up and mature. She will be 11 in a few weeks, and I am so happy it is a room that can grown with her. Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today, and stay tuned for lots more small changes in my house coming your way!
