Isn’t it just so lovely when you get to spend the weekend doing what you love? Besides celebrating my daughter’s birthday and spending time with her, I also got to hit up my favorite place. That’s right guys, it was flea market weekend here in Nashville, and I not only got to go twice, but I got to do it kid free! Can I get a hallalua?!? It was so fun and so cold, but that did not stop me from finding so many treasures. I spent the weekend styling and doing a little refresh on some spaces, and I can’t wait to show you how I used all of my flea market finds!
So let me start with showing you all of my treasures!
I’m fairly sure my neighbors think I am a nut, but I’m cool with that. I just had to put it all together and show you my finds. I love flea market shopping for so many reasons, but mainly because I get to find one of a kind pieces for cheap. This entire haul cost me $150 which I think is a pretty great deal. So, let me show you how I used my flea market finds in my home.
I lucked up and found some gorgeous frames and vintage cross stitch flowered art for super cheap, and had this fun idea to create a layered piece of art with it. I decided to put my creation behind my sofa and LOVE how it looks with my other vintage finds.
Here is another view of how I layered my frames. Just a few small nails in the larger frame held the other two right up there. These 3 pieces cost me a total of $25!!
Another vintage piece of cross stitch that I found was this vase of flowers. I’ve been using vintage flowers so much this for spring so I had to have this. I loved the colors so much, and even though it didn’t come with a frame, I made it work. I just paired with with an antique mirror and it looks so cute just propped up on my entryway table. Such fun piece and the pop of color was just what this space needed!
Next stop was my dining room. When I spotted these two deconstructed chairs at one booth, I tried to stay cool and calmly ask how much they were. You NEVER want to act like you are just dying to have something at the flea market because that could easily change the price of it. She priced them at $40 each, and I almost screamed SOLD before she got it out of her mouth. I honestly had no idea what I was going to do with them but knew I had to have them. They are kinda rough around the edges, but that is exactly what I love about them. For now, I decided to put them in my dining room, and I actually kinda love them in here.
Here is a little closer view of these beauties. I fell in love with the shape of them and the seat was in great condition. Really all they needed was a good cleaning, and they were ready to go.
I decided my dining room also needed this vintage wooden easel that I found for $5. I paired it with another vintage fame that I had found and put a new piece of art from Hobby Lobby in the middle of it. You can use easels in so many ways, but I love just propping old frames or pictures on them.
This basket was the cherry on top of my weekend finds. Anytime I can find a beautiful vintage basket for only $10 is a win in my book. This really could have gone anywhere in my home, but I decided it would make a beautiful centerpiece for my kitchen table. I paired it with my favorite stems. You really just can’t go wrong with a big beautiful basket!
Ahhhhh, that was SO MUCH FUN!! From the shopping to the decorating and everything in between. My best advice for flea market shopping would be to find items that you love and just have fun with them in your home. You don’t always have to know where it’s going. I honestly had no clue where any of this was going, but it all worked out and found a place to live. Hope you guys enjoyed tagging along with me on my flea market finds. It was a blast, and I hope you liked seeing how I used them in my house.
Have a great Tuesday, and thanks for visiting the blog!!
