Are you ready for some fun spring inspo? I hope so because I am so excited to join a few friends (listed at the bottom) for a Spring Blog Hop! Welcome if you are joining me from my sweet friend Kelly’s blog The Tattered Pew. Isn’t Kelly so amazing?! I loved seeing all of her beautiful spring decor ideas! We are all so excited to be sharing some spring inspiration and tips for getting your home ready for spring. In case you haven’t noticed, it’s till freezing outside in most places, but that doesn’t mean you can’t start adding some warmth inside. Today, I thought it would be fun to share with you my mantel decor for spring – 3 must haves for spring and sharing with you how I used these tips on my fireplace.
1. Greenery Real and Faux
I know I know…this is a given. Of course you add greenery in the spring, but I can’t stress enough how much this changes your home for the better. I am a faux greenery girl all the way, but I do start mixing real greens into my decor in the summer. Since I am just now starting with my spring decor, I am just going with faux greens and using it everywhere!! If you saw my post last week, I shared how I used a few Ikea plants all around my house. You can see that post HERE. I also added my favorite flowy stems from Chic Artique to my bottles and basket for a natural touch. I always get asked if these branches are real because they are THAT GOOD!!!
So, remember to add greens, flowers, wreaths….etc. You get the idea. Just add those greens to your home for the prettiest spring vibe ever.
2. The Color Green
Yes, I have a color as one of my must haves for spring. Shades of green are going to be my go-to spring color and my inspiration was these beautiful emerald and moss colored bottles from Chic Artique. Each one takes on a different shade of green, and I pretty much fell in love with them the moment I spotted them. They look so authentic and could easily pass off as vintage bottles. You can find a link to the bottles HERE. They just remind me of beautiful spring days and add a warmth and the perfect pop of color.
Besides these bottles, I love using the color green in my home whether it is through a floral print, a vase, or a pillow. Just adding the color green is a simple way to add a touch of spring to any space.
3. Touches of Gold
Ok, so this one isn’t for everyone, but I am loving using gold or antique brass in my home for spring. My favorite way to mix in metals into my home for spring is through pots, lamps, and watering cans. I found the cutest gold pots at Ikea and thought they would be the prettiest addition to all of my faux greenery that I picked up. Metals, whether it’s galvanized, bronze, or gold, can be a fun touch to your spring decor.
I am so in love with this gold watering can that I picked up last week. It’s perfect to use in your home to water plants, and the rest of the time it acts as the cutest piece of decor. Win win for sure!!
So, those are my 3 spring must haves. I’m sure there will be plenty more where that came from after I really start decorating for spring, but those are what I am loving right now. I hope you like how I added these touches to my fireplace and was able to pick up an idea or two!
