Happy Wednesday! I took a short breather from blogging, but I’m back today to share with you our eating area refresh. I haven’t shared this space with you guys since Christmas. In this space decided to keep it light and airy and maybe even a little springy in here. If you saw my latest flea market finds, I decided to use this oversized vintage basket in the middle of my table with some flowy stems coming out the top. I love a basket centerpiece because it creates texture. It’s also super easy to move when we need to, so I’m loving it here for now. When deciding to redecorate a space, I always find something that helps inspire the entire space. It’s safe to say when I spotted this basket, I knew my kitchen eating area needed it, and I love how it inspired the entire design in this area.
I know my basket is rather large. That’s why I called it my “oversized basket.” I actually had a lady tell me on my Instagram page that it was too big for my table. Ummmmm, thanks lady. I do know it is large, but that is what I was going for. Something pretty and a little dramatic and I happen to love it. That’s really all that matters, right?
I carried the greenery to my little hanging hutch. I also added a simple botanical print to the top layered with another basket. Instead of just sitting a sign up there, I always try to layer it with something. It adds dimension and texture. Layering is kinda my jam!!!!
I also layered my basket with a few random ironstone dishes. I’m hoping to find some more ironstone to add to this collection. That is a goal for 2019. FIND MORE IRONSTONE!
I found the cutest galvanized metal and wood 3 section holder at Kirkland’s. It is perfect for holding books and greenery. love how it looks on the bottom of my hutch!
So that was a short and sweet update to my kitchen eating area. All of these changes gets me so excited for spring. How about you?
I hope you enjoyed my update! Have a lovely day sweet friends!
