My farmhouse style herb garden is finally finished!! I know, I know, some of you have been cooking with herbs from your herb garden all spring. Better late than never I guess.
It all started with my trip to the Country Living Fair a couple of months back. I knew I wanted a farmhouse style cubby that I could put pots in, but I was having a hard time finding the perfect piece. I ventured out to one of my favorite shows on a very rainy morning and spotted the most beautiful booth, Olde Tyme Marketplace. When I saw this piece all styled with pots, I knew it had to be mine. I bought the cubbies and the table with a vision of the perfect little herb garden.
My vision turned out even better than I had hoped. I’m so in love with this piece!!
Now, let’s get to my love of clay pots. I have never bought one of these new. My collection started last spring, and I have been collecting them ever since. I pick them up at yard sales for CHEAP, and the more age they have on them the better. It’s all about character!!
I added a few flowers and my favorite herbs to them. Let me mention that I am by no means a gardener, but I can handle herbs. They are pretty simple to maintain. That’s why I love them so much! I also love the option of having my fresh basil for my favorite pasta or a little mint to put in my tea just a few steps away. I also love teaching my kids how to plant and maintain a garden, even if it is small.
Isn’t this piece just full of farmhouse, chippy love??? Oh, it’s full of rust too!
I truly hope you enjoyed my little farmhouse style herb garden as much as I do. I’m still learning how to garden, and having so much fun in the process. Thanks for stopping by my sweet friends and let me know what you think!!!
Have a lovely day!!
