DIY Christmas Grapevine Wreath and Entryway Decor

Happy Tuesday buddies! It’s been a couple of weeks since my last post, but I’ve been working on something really big that I can’t wait to share with you SOON. I’ve also been working hard around here transitioning from fall to Christmas, and I am so excited to share with you my first Christmas reveal! Today, I thought it would be fun to show you how I made this easy DIY Christmas grapevine wreath, along with sharing my neutral Christmas entryway reveal. So, are you ready? Let’s get to it!!!

Materials:

• Grapevine wreath (mine is 32″)
• Faux or real stems (my 3 stems were found at Old Time Pottery, Hobby Lobby, Hobby Lobby in order of photo above)
• Gold bells
• Floral wire

How do you make a grapevine wreath?

The best part about making your own grapevine wreath is that you can use whatever greens you love. It can be neutral, colorful, real, or faux. It honestly doesn’t matter. That’s the beauty of making your own wreath. You get to design it to meet your perfect style. Personally, I love various shades of natural greens mixed with pinecones and my favorite stem ever…eucalyptus!!

Step 1: Attach Your Base

First, figure out where you want to add your greenery. You can decorate the top, bottom, side, or all over. I am covering my wreath only on the bottom half. Now, lay out your base stems where you want them and wrap tightly with floral wire. I used 4 stems of faux cedar as my base.

Step 2: Add Your Greens

Next, add your greens. I found the most gorgeous stems at Old Time Pottery that had mixed greens and pinecones all together. By adding a thicker spray, it makes it easier to attach and gives your wreath a fuller look. I added 1 sprays to each side of the wreath making sure my base was still showing on the tops and bottom. Tightly attach your stems with floral wire.

Step 3: Add Your Filler

Last but not least, add your filler. This step is super easy, but very important. As I told you guys earlier, my favorite stem is eucalyptus!!! I found some dried eucalyptus at Hobby Lobby and cut it down to 2-3 branches on each stem. I then just added them to the top, middle, and bottom. Really, just anywhere that needed it. I added a few extra stems to the bottom of the wreath and love how it looks draping down.

Step 4: Attach Bells or Bow

The last step and the cherry on top of this gorgeous wreath was to add some gold bells. Of course, this step is optional, but I love the gold touch!! It added a pretty and Christmasy vibe that I think it needed. So, are you ready to see how it looks in my entryway??

Christmas Wreath and Entryway Reveal

Ahhhh, I am so in love with this wreath! It was the perfect focal point for my entryway!

Isn’t is so pretty? The best part is that it only took me about 10 minutes to make. A wreath is such a simple way to add a festive touch to your Christmas decor.

And aren’t these little houses the cutest? I think I am full blown obsessed with little white Christmas houses. I just can’t get enough. Get ready to see them all over my house this year!

I also added some other gold touches to the entryway decor along with a similar garland that I made that mimics the wreath.

The last step to finish off the neutral Christmas look was to add some plaid. I mixed and matched a plaid pillow and blanket to add texture and to cozy up the space a little. Don’t forget to add pillows or blankets in unexpected places. I love how it finished off the look!
