Hi friends!! I’ve had the craziest week so I’m so excited to have a few minutes to just breathe. I only have a couple of weeks until I’m due and nesting is in full swing. Today, I’m tackling my entryway. I love my entryway because it’s filled with some of my favorite things. Some may call it junk but I call it my favorite recycled treasures. Give me all the chippy white wood!! Today, I am sharing with you how to turn a boring entry way into a vibrant space using farmhouse style collage wall decor.
Barn Door Table
Before we get to the collage wall decor, let’s just admire this adorable barn door table I picked up at the cutest shop here in Nashville, Three French Hens. I fell in love with the fact that the top is an old barn door — such a fun idea for a table. It also had the right amount of chippy so I was instantly in love.
Shutter
Shutters, oh how I love you!! They can be used for so many fun things. I needed a large piece to fill in my wall because of the size. This long shutter came into my life the same day as the table, and I knew it would fill in the large space perfectly and give it the farmhouse look to match the aesthetic that I love.
Windows
Windows!! Can I get an AMEN!! If you have read any of my recent blog posts 5 Ways to Decorate With Windows or Hanging Window Tutorial you know I love decorating with windows. So many reasons yet so little time to explain why I love them. I chose this long one to balance out the other side of my collage wall. I believe I found this one for $5 at a yard sale.
Chalk Board Bed Frame
With chalkboard paint, you can make a chalkboard out of pretty much anything. This one is made out of an old bed frame. I added one of my favorite bible verses to it. My intention was to change it out every few months but I kinda love this scripture for my entryway. It also was the perfect fit to top off my collage wall.
This collage wall cost me a total of $60. This is why I love using recycled finds. I also added vintage books I picked up at a thrift store, a vintage trunk that I found at a yard sale, and a crate that I found at the flea market. I love the challenge of piecing found items together and making it a fun space. Hopefully, some of you see the beauty in “junk” like I do and find a fun use for it.
Thanks so much for popping on here!! I appreciate each and everyone of you who choose to visit my blog. Don’t forget to subscribe to get updates on new posts. Happy Saturday!! xoxo
