This past year, I have been slowly updating my kitchen. We added this white subway tile backsplash to my black and white kitchen and love the new look! I have been making small changes here and there and now I have made my way to my kitchen eating area. This space was due for a refresh. I wanted to keep my black and white theme but add some boho kitchen touches for spring and summer. Today, I am going to show you a couple of simple changes that I made to this space to give it a completely new look!
The first thing that I found was this beautiful black and white shag rug that inspired the whole refresh. The rug is called the Ozi Area Rug, and I fell in love with he pattern, fringe, and the ridges in the pile. This rug is stunning and so SO soft! As soon as I spotted it, I knew it would look perfect in my kitchen eating area. It also has the boho look that I was wanting. It looks like it was make for my kitchen eating area! So happy with how it looks in this space!
The next way to get a boho kitchen look is to add baskets! I wanted to carry the black and white pattern up to my wood shelves. I found these cute black and white round baskets at HomeGoods. The basket colors and pattern look so good paired with my new rug. I layered the two sizes and although they are simple, I love how the woven textures look in this space.
Baskets are a simple and inexpensive way to get the boho look in any space!!
My kitchen eating area is home to so many of my favorite plants. Plants are kinda my jam, so I thought making one of them my table centerpiece for spring would be so cute. I found a simple basket with black touches and love how it looks as a centerpiece. Bringing that woven look onto the table is another simple way to add the boho look to your space.
See how simple this refresh was? Only a few small changes made a big impact. By simply adding a new rug along with some woven touches gave this eating area the simple boho look that I was going for. As always, thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed seeing my boho kitchen refresh!
