Designing a teen girl’s room can be an exciting and rewarding project, but it can also be a bit challenging. My daughter will be 13 in a few months and she has been wanting to give her bedroom a more grown up look. As most of you probably know, teenagers have their own unique tastes and preferences, and creating a space that reflects their personality while still being functional and comfortable can be a delicate balancing act. That’s why I decided to create 3 design boards with my daughter’s help. We discussed what she knew she wanted and that included a pink and white checkered rug, a velvet headboard, and some fun wallpaper. In this blog post, I’ll share with you the 3 teen girl room design ideas that we came up with and would love your input on which is your favorite!!
Teen Girl Room Design 1- Boho Flower Girl
I’m calling this first design ‘Boho Flower Girl’ because it is a mix of bold colors, rattan, and flowers which all give it a boho feel. Below you will find links to the products in this design.

Teen Girl Room Design 2- Vintage Romantic
Design 2 that I came up with has a more vintage feel to it. I chose a faux wood wallpaper with a romantic design. I wanted green to be the focal point in this design, and I loved how it looked with the rug she wanted. This design is simple with a vintage flair. Below you will find the links to this design.

Teen Girl Room Design 3- Girly Chic
Design 3 was fun to design because it is a happy, bright, and girly. I love to mix patterns, so I thought the wallpaper went well with the checkered rug. We used lots of pink in this design while adding in a few other colors that were in the wallpaper. I will link the items in this ‘Girly Chic’ design below.

Designing a teen girl’s room is a fantastic opportunity to create a space that reflects your teen’s personality and provides a comfortable and functional environment. I had so much fun collaborating with my daughter. We chose a color palette, decided on a fun rug, selected stylish furniture, incorporated textures and patterns, and payed attention to lighting while keeping the designs flexible and fun.
